Catlinite or Pipestone is a material that has been used for 100's of years by Native Americans. It holds up extremely well under heat, so it's ideal to use this for ceremonial pipes. It is believed by many to originate from the blood of the ancestors.

This pipe is signed by Hapan. The stem is made out of California Redwood. It is decorated with traditional Sioux beadwork in 2 different places and it also has some nice, soft, deer leather fringes.
